3rd Anniversary Gala

FORBIDDEN: A Cinematic Gala

RED CARPET MOMENTS

Written by: Brooke Williams

There’s a particular kind of magic that happens when a room full of creatives feels both inspired and at ease, and this year’s Vessel Gala struck that balance beautifully. As someone who lives adjacent to the industry, typically within the walls of the studio that hosted the evening, I’ve seen events that lean grand but impersonal. Vessel Gala 2026, however, felt intentionally intimate. The scale invited conversation over spectacle, and the energy shifted toward genuine connection. Instead of navigating a crowded scene, guests lingered, exchanged ideas, and built the kind of relationships that move projects, and people, forward.

What stood out most was how naturally the evening became a hub for visionary thinking. Without the pressure of last year’s more expansive production, there was space for creativity to breathe. Conversations flowed from storytelling to design to the evolving landscape of film, and you could feel a shared momentum among attendees. It was less about being seen and more about recognizing and leaning into the talent in the room. From where I stood, it felt like the kind of night where future collaborations took root.

And then, of course, there was the artistry on full display. The fashion alone was a masterclass. The featured designer brought a perspective that was both daring and deeply intentional, each piece telling its own story. Equally compelling were the photographers, whose eye for culture and narrative added another layer of depth to the evening. Surrounded by such creative brilliance, it was impossible not to feel energized. This year’s gala didn’t just celebrate the vast and local industry, it reminded us why we’re all drawn to it in the first place.
